Grants

There will be different target groups and altogether six different grants and support measures to facilitate greater inclusion of scholars at the ECC 2024 conference. The grants will be awarded to scholars whose presentations have been accepted to the conference. Separate calls will open in March 2024.

Regional Inclusion

5 grants will be offered to early-career scholars (PhD students and scholars 1 year after completion of their PhD) from the region of former Yugoslavia. The grants, provided by Local Organising Committee, will consist of conference fee waivers. Separate call for applications will open in March.

Inclusion of Ukraine-based scholars

5 grants will be offered to early-career scholars (PhD students and scholars 1 year after completion of their PhD) who are based at Ukrainian academic institutions. The grants, provided by the Local Organising Committee, will consist of conference fee waivers. Separate call for applications will open in March.

YECREA Early-career fee waivers and travel grants

Not related to a specific region or topic. The applicants will be allowed to combine travel grants with the grants in the form of conference fee vouchers, conditions will be announced with a separate call for applicants in March.

 

    • YECREA grants aimed at inclusion of early-career scholars. YECREA will offer 10 grants for early-career scholars (PhD students and scholars 1 year after completion of their PhD) in the form of conference fee waivers. These grants are awarded to PhD students and early-career scholars who lack funding opportunities.
    • YECREA travel grants – 5 travel and accommodation grants will be offered by ECREA to early-career scholars. (PhD students and scholars 1 year after completion of their PhD). These are awarded to PhD students and early-career scholars who lack funding opportunities.

ECREA Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) grants

Not related to specific region or topic. These grants will be awarded to address barriers and biases experienced by underrepresented groups and should facilitate ECREA to be more equal, diverse and inclusive. The applicants will be allowed to combine travel grants with the grants in the form of conference fee vouchers, more detailed conditions will be announced with the separate call for applicants in March.

 

    • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) grants – 15 grants in the form of conference fee vouchers will be offered by ECREA to scholars who would otherwise have difficulties accessing the conference. The evaluation criteria will be announced when the call is issued.
